CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICIES LIABILITY WAIVER

For Tours in the Continental United States and Canada

 

The deposit for tours to the United States & Canada is $500 per person, excluding tours to Alaska, for which the deposit is $1000 per person. For those who prefer to pay your deposit using a credit card, the deposit must be made with MasterCard or Visa at registration. For those who want to pay your deposit by check, money order, or bank transfer, your tour space will be held for 10 days after registration to allow the ROAMING NATURALISTS office to receive your deposit and completed registration form. All tour payments may be made by credit card (MasterCard or Visa), check, money order, or bank transfer (contact the ROAMING NATURALISTS office (406.570.2428) for bank transfer information). These include initial deposits, second deposits, interim payments, final balances, special arrangements, etc. Full tour fee payment is due 150 days before the tour departure date.

 

For International Tours

 

The deposit for international tours is $1000 per person. Please refer to the detailed itinerary for specific deposit and payment information. If you prefer to pay your deposit using a credit card, the deposit must be made with MasterCard or Visa at registration. If you want to pay your deposit by check, money order, or bank transfer, your tour space will be held for 10 days to allow the ROAMING NATURALISTS office to receive your deposit and completed registration form. All tour payments may be made by credit card (MasterCard or Visa), check, money order, or bank transfer (contact the ROAMING NATURALISTS office for bank transfer information). REFUND POLICY

 

Continental United States & Canada

 

Refunds are made according to the following schedule: If cancellation is made 180 days or more before the tour departure date, a cancellation fee of $250 per person will be charged. Any payments covering the fee balance will be refunded. If cancellation is made fewer than 150 days before the departure date, no refund is available. This policy and fee schedule also applies to pre- and post-tour extensions.

 

International Trips Outside Canada

 

Cancellations made 210 days or more before the tour departure date receive a full refund MINUS a $500 processing fee. Cancellations made between 209 and 151 days before the departure date are not refundable, but any payments covering the balance of the fee will be refunded. No refund is available if cancellation is made fewer than 150 days before the departure date.

This Roaming Naturalists' Cancellation & Refunds policy does not apply to air tickets purchased through Roaming Naturalists or to any special arrangements, such as additional hotel nights outside

the services described in the tour itinerary.

LIABILITY WAIVER

I am willingly participating in a nature tour, and I acknowledge that there are inherent dangers and risks associated with this trip, known or unknown, relating but not limited to travel in remote areas by means of aircraft, boat, automobile, train, and other conveyances, without means of rapid evacuation or medical facilities, nature walks or hikes, swimming, accidents and/or illness, and injurious acts of nature, man or God. I acknowledge my trip may include visits where dangerous animals occur and encounters with these animals are inherently risky.

I recognize and agree that I am taking part in this trip at my own risk. I acknowledge that Roaming Naturalists, LLC makes no guarantee or representation, express or implied, regarding the conditions that may be encountered during the trip, and/or the safety of any means of transportation during the trip and that Roaming Naturalists, LLC will have no liability for any defect in or dangerous conditions pertaining to it.

I further certify that I am in good health and can walk on uneven terrain for up to ½-mile and have taken all precautions recommended by my physician or trip leaders. In consideration of the right to participate in this expedition, I hereby release Roaming Naturalists, LLC and their agents, trip leaders, associates, related parties, directors, and staff from all responsibilities for damage, injuries, losses or delays due to any reason whatsoever, and I hereby assume all risks and dangers in connection with this trip.

I have read the itinerary and related information pertaining to this trip, and I am aware of them and conditions of trip involving refunds and cancellations, responsibility and liability.

By signing this document, you may be waiving your legal right to a jury trial to hold the provider legally responsible for any injuries or damages resulting from risks inherent in the sport or recreational opportunity or for any injuries or damages you may suffer due to the provider's ordinary negligence that result from the provider's failure to exercise reasonable care.

 

(The following all capitalized text is required by law in Montana, Section 27-1-753)

 

BY SIGNING THIS DOCUMENT, YOU MAY BE WAIVING YOUR LEGAL RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL TO HOLD THE PROVIDER LEGALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INJURIES OR DAMAGES RESULTING FROM RISKS INHERENT IN THE SPORT OR RECREATIONAL OPPORTUNITY OR FOR ANY INJURIES OR DAMAGES YOU MAY SUFFER DUE TO THE PROVIDER'S ORDINARY NEGLIGENCE THAT ARE THE RESULT OF THE PROVIDER'S FAILURE TO EXERCISE REASONABLE CARE
